Forge Fire and Company is seeking a driven and detail-oriented CAD Designer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks to support the design and development of advanced fire training structures and modular container-based systems. This role is critical in bringing our engineering concepts to life—transforming ideas into functional, build-ready designs used by fire departments, law enforcement, and military teams nationwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce detailed 2D/3D mechanical and structural drawings using SolidWorks.
- Work closely with project leads to interpret design requirements and create fully integrated system layouts.
- Ensure all designs adhere to applicable NFPA, building code, and engineering standards.
- Revise and optimize existing designs based on internal reviews or client feedback.
- Maintain thorough documentation of design iterations, material specs, and build references.
- Assist in developing manuals, cut sheets, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate in team design reviews and contribute to practical, field-ready solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 year degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience with SolidWorks in a mechanical or structural design capacity
- Knowledge of mechanical principles, steel fabrication, and modular design.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with CAD file version control and proper drawing documentation practices.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, CNC cutting, and assembly.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Blender would be great.

CLASS A cdl driver
OVERVIEW
Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person
Forge Fire, in Bucyrus, Ohio, is looking for a skilled, dependable, and flexible Class-A CDL Driver. This is a flexible role contributing to a team that does what it takes to deliver. You will report to the Production Manager and interact with the CEO/owner as well as leaders, production and construction teams, and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport containers and materials primarily via a super duty pickup and gooseneck trailer.
- Pick up containers from Columbus and Chicago, return them to Bucyrus, and deliver them to semi-developed sites across the country.
- Manage both day and overnight trips with hotel accommodations provided.
- Ensure safe and timely deliveries while maintaining vehicle and equipment standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Production Manager and team members.
- Be available for travel during the week; home on weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- 2+ years of CDL-A experience
- DOT knowledge and reliability to work to and fulfill DOT regulations
- Comfort with ELDs and using your smart phone app to manage reporting and weigh station requirements
- Experience loading, securing, and protecting cargo
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Ability and willingness to positively contribute in the shop
- Skill to collaborate with others and interact positively with customers
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to [weight, e.g., 50 lbs.], bending up to, twisting, stooping, pulling, and pushing
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Flexibility to work various hours dependably and travel overnight often Monday–Friday
- Forklift or equipment operation experience
